The SEAM unit (from 1A Technologies) revolutionizes industrial 3D printing. Integrated into the SEAMHex Industrial 3D Printer, it extrudes granulate material at high temperatures, depositing layer by layer through its nozzle. With an impressive output rate of 10kg/h, its most remarkable feature is the patented bypass nozzle, allowing dynamic regulation of material extrusion. This capability enables seamless transitions without plastic leakage. Additionally, expelled material is regranulated and reused, promoting sustainable production through closed-loop recycling. It can extrude various plastics, elastomers, polypropylene, and even a PA6 with 40% carbon fiber content.

The Hexapod table of the SEAMHex 3D printer is based on parallel kinematics, making it exceptionally fast. With a printing speed of up to 1m/s, the SEAMHex is one of the world’s fastest 3D printers.
