A Brief History of the Event

The Sächsische Meister-Classic is an annual oldtimer rallye held in Chemnitz, Germany. The event started in 2021 and has grown steadily in popularity after in the second edition of this year. Today, the Sächsische Meister-Classic is one of the most popular oldtimer rallyes in the east part of Germany. Chemnitz is a town located in the eastern part of Germany, about 100 kilometers from Dresden. The town is best known for its industry and manufacturing. So it’s perfect location for an event like this.

The Overview of the Event

The Sächsische Meister-Classic is a three-day rallye that takes place on public roads around Chemnitz and saxony. Participants must follow a predetermined route and complete various task along the way. The goal is to have fun and enjoy the classic cars while testing one’s driving skills. Along the way, there are various checkpoints where participants can take photos and collect stamps. At the end of each day, there is an overnight stop where participants can socialize and relax.

Our Team’s Background

METROMs Team #additivegoesmobile is a team of passionate classic car enthusiasts. We have participated in many rallies and events over the years, and this was one more to add to the list. Our team is made of the driver Gerd Witt and our CTO Marcus Witt as the navigator. Gerd has been driving classic cars for over 30 years and has participated in many oldtimer rallies. Marcus is a passionate car enthusiast and has been a navigator for #additivegoesmobile for many years. The two kids of Marcus were also with us as support crew.Finally the car was a BMW e12 which was build in 1979. A beautiful classic car which we all enjoyed driving.

Conclusion

All in all, we had a great time at the Sächsische Meister-Classic. The event was well organized and we enjoyed driving our classic cars on the beautiful roads around Chemnitz. The weather was perfect and we made some great new friends. We have enjoyd the event very much and we are looking forward to next year’s edition!
